About Maureen Roben


Maureen Roben is one of the few American women who has qualified for four Olympic Trials for the marathon. She was the #1 American woman marathoner in 1987.

As head coach of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Rocky Mountain Team in Training program, Maureen prepared over 5000 people to run marathons and ˝ marathons - helping beginners and fine tuning elite runners. She also trained and supervised eight regional coaches for the Team in Training Program.

Active.com, a premiere sports website, commissioned Maureen to design running programs for athletes training for distances from 5k to the marathon.

She is currently co-race director of the Platte River ½ Marathon and Buckhorn Exchange Relay and the Aetna Park to Park 10 Miler.

As a coach for more than 18 years, Maureen has shared her success and love of running and is the owner of RUN-STRONG, a Denver, Colorado based running program. Through personalized programs, weekly workouts, and running-related clinics, including the topics of nutrition and injury prevention, Maureen guides runners to reach their goals and highest potential.
